About Us
Assalamu alaikum!
My name is Rahma, and I founded QuranQuest to help Muslims learn to read the Quran.
Starting from the Arabic letters can feel like a lot, so I wanted learning to feel more like a game: small steps, quick wins, and a path that always shows you what comes next. Every letter you learn brings you closer to opening the Quran and reading it yourself.
Why a bee?
Our mascot, Buzz, is inspired by Surah An-Nahl, โThe Beeโ, the 16th surah of the Quran. In it, Allah tells us how He guided this tiny creature:
And your Lord inspired the bee: โTake for yourself houses among the mountains and the treesโฆโ
Surah An-Nahl, 16:68
Indeed, in that is a sign for a people who reflect.
Surah An-Nahl, 16:69
The bee follows the path laid out for it, works patiently, and from that steady effort comes something sweet that people benefit from. That's how we hope your learning feels: one small step at a time, a little every day, and something beautiful at the end of it. Buzz is here to cheer you on along the way, and takes on the color of whatever theme you pick.
Thank you for being part of QuranQuest.
